Finally Christmas Mini Sessions!

I know there are a few of you who have been checking back to see a concrete Christmas Mini Session post. Well, December 06 I will have six sessions available in Sterling. The session times are 7,8, and 9 a.m. and 1:30, 2:30, and 3:30 p.m. Each session will be approximately 30 minutes long and the location will be tailored specifically to you. Times will be booked on a first come, first serve basis. I am throwing around the idea of doing some December 01 in the Sedgwick, Ovid, and Julesburg area. If you are interested in one of those just follow the directions below.

To view specifics on the sessions click on the image above to download a pdf that goes over all of them!

I am calling these Christmas Mini Sessions, but have no plans to put anyone in front of a Christmas tree or anything seasonal. I understand and hope that these are images that you would want hung year round in your home. However, if you want something seasonal, I’m sure we can hunt it down!

These images will be available in the client section of my website to order off of no later than December 11. Any orders placed by 11:59 p.m. December 14 are guaranteed to be back no later than Christmas Eve without rush charges. Orders with cards in them will be bumped to the front of the line due to the nature of the product.

These shorter sessions might not be for everyone. If you are wanting unlimited time think about booking one of my regular sessions while I am in Colorado, November 29 through December 19 (some dates are already booked). For one of those price guides email me at anna@annalynchmcclary.com.

Now, if you’re ready to book a mini head over to www.annalynchmcclary.com and click on the client section. Enter the password ‘christmasmini’. That will bring up the same image as above, add it to your cart, then click on the cart icon in the bottom right corner, and then from the drop down menu select the only option. Simply fill out your info as you go. However, for tonight just select ‘send order and arrange payment later’. I will email everyone tomorrow that books the session. I will go in order of emails received and give you the opportunity to select your time slot. From there I will send you an invoice for the session retainer, which needs to be finalized by Monday to reserve your spot.

If you have any questions feel free to email me (I am without a phone until Saturday). I am stepping away for the evening, but will get back to you right away tomorrow. If your question will affect whether you book or not, go ahead and book, and if you change your mind after I answer your question, no problem.

Wow, didn’t think I’d ever say this before Thanksgiving, but Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

A few more shots of Jordan

As promised, here are a few more of the shots we got of Jordan Monday night. It’s funny to watch the sky in the progression of images. It went from a beautiful blue sky day to pretty ominous and eventually raining. Jordan was a good sport for all of it though!

This was about the point that we knew we were going to get to deal with some weather.

The sky did offer some beautiful clouds though.

How did I get so lucky?

Monday night I got the chance to shoot a senior girl, something that I didn’t get to do last year. I forget how much fun girls are to shoot (not that guys aren’t, they just aren’t girly :) ) On top of that, Jordan is gorgeous. How do you take a bad picture of this girl?!

Anyhow, I have plenty more to blog from her session, but wanted to get one up today. I’ll be back tomorrow with a longer post and a few more shots!

Happy Mother’s Day!

When Easter rolled around my mom surprised me on one of those days that I just needed a good surprise. She had packed up Mitch and my Easter baskets just like usual and had shipped them out to us and had thrown in some fuzzy chicks to decorate our place with. That was one of my most recent “good” mom moments that really made me appreciate her and everything she’s done for me over the years. Yes, there were definitely “bad” mom moments, but coincidentally they were mostly when I was 13-20, so I’ll say those don’t count in honor of Mother’s Day. Thanks for everything Mom!

I spent all of today trying to catch up on orders and processing some new sessions. I, of course didn’t get as much done as I would have liked, but I did get a good chunk of everything done. Some of those things included editing three new sessions. Two are for moms celebrating their first Mother’s Day and one for two more new moms and a new grandma, so it’s only fitting that I put up three images today to give each of them sneak peeks. I’m also throwing in one of my favorite images of my mom.

The “L” here is backwards thanks to my fabulous “assistant” ;)

P.S. The \

This shot is (obviously) from my wedding. It’s one of my favorites of my mom because she is laughing and so genuinely happy. All of our wedding pictures were by the fabulous Andy and Angie Wood of A&A Photography who I can’t recommend enough!

Happy Mother’s Day!

BIG Prints and Wall Arrangements

Anyone who has been in our home or since we’ve moved so much in the last year, our homes knows that I have an addiction to BIG prints. Our living room wall is covered in four 16×20′s, our bedroom has one big 16×24, and that’s just the start of it. I do kind of laugh when someone refers to an 8×10 as a BIG print, because I’ve gotten to the point that those are my little prints. A print with some size can really make a statement in a room. That, and everything I print, I print because I love it or the person/people in it and don’t want to have to get right up next to the picture to really enjoy it.

When I was back in Colorado I went over to Kayte’s home (this is her little guy) to figure out what she wanted to order. She showed be the wall that she wanted to put the shots up on and we figured out a wall arrangement with some big images that are going to be beautiful in their home. If you have a spot picked out for the images, let me help you figure out the best way to display them and the best sizes for your spot.

When I buy or shoot new pictures and go to print them, I view them as an investment. They aren’t just going to be around for a year or two, I hope that I can pass them down and have them be as treasured as I hold my grandparent’s and parent’s pictures.

Here is the arrangement that we came up with for Kayte. The b&w center image is a 16×24 and the long skinny prints are 10×20′s. I can’t wait to see this up!

Look for a bunch of new stuff on the blog throughout this week. Tomorrow is going to be a busy workday. I figured I better get it all done tomorrow before our season starts Thursday!

Another Sneak Peek…

I just couldn’t resist sharing a few more from yesterday. One of my closest friends has wanted nothing more than to have a baby and after some struggles, they are now giving this little boy a home. I know that they both know how lucky they are to have found each other!

Troy and Julie have given him one of the most beautiful nurseries I have ever seen. When I walked in on Friday the words on the wall brought tears to my eyes because they were just so true.

Sneak Peek…

I’ve had a busy trip back so far. Today I spent the day doing pictures of a real cutie. Here’s a hint because they won’t get posted up here until I get back to Portage.

Graduation Snuck Up

I can’t believe that graduation time is already coming up. Koby was actually the first senior that I did this year. I put together this cool grad card for him. I’m only going to post up the front so that his grad party doesn’t get a bunch of crashers.

I’m Coming to Colorado and Making a Mailing List!

I finally got the nerve up to ask my boss about some trips back to Colorado. Turns out I had no reason to be nervous. He was completely open to me making my monthly trip back as long as I schedule it during away stands and I also explained to him that I can basically work remotely for them on those trips. So, I’ll be back April 24-29. I have a few appointments that I need to set first (that I didn’t have time for on my March trip back). After that though, my time is up for grabs. I’ll be contacting everyone that has emailed me and left me comments asking for info or showing interest now that I know what to tell you! :) Drop me an email if you’d like to take a peek at a price list and book an appointment.

Also, I’m working on setting up a mailing list so that I can send out periodic emails to let everyone know when I’ll be in Colorado and when I’m running sales. If you’re interested in getting on that list, email me at info@annalynchmcclary.com .

Hopefully the weekend is going well and slowly for everyone! It’s a little dreary here, but thanks to the rain Mitch and I got to hit up a few of the area wineries today. Who would have thought that Indiana and Michigan had vineyards?!

My goal is to include at least one picture in all of my posts from now on (it might not always happen, but I’ll try). I don’t have any session pictures with me today, so I thought I would post up a fun picture of two of my best friends who I miss like crazy. Love you girls!

Kyle- Class of 2008

Like I promised in my last post, this is Kyle. Kyle and Keith are twin brothers that I shot earlier in the year. Now that these guys are down to less than a month before graduation, I decided that I better get these up sooner than later.
